1998 V70 AWD. The control arm is attached to the frame with 4 bolts and is thus different than the procedure on this site. In order to replace the left front hub/bearing folliwing the procedure, should I:

a) try to remove the control arm from the frame?

cool.gif leave the control arm on the frame and separate the control arm at the ball joint?

c) remove the two bolts holding the knuckle to the strut and separate the steering rod from the knuckle?

Any and all advice is appreciated.

Steve

A) or cool.gif will work. Not sure of C) as you will not have enough play in ball joint to get the axle out. I'd go with undoing the balljoint and if you get in trouble not being able to get it out, undo the arm from subframe.
