Hello I've seen this post before but none seemed like mine. On My passanger side the hood latch won't open. I took it to the mechanic and they said the cable broke right at the latch, and they arn't able to fix it. They want to take it to the body shop but I said no and I will be taking my car home now. Is there any secret to fixing this that these guys don't know?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I had this problem less than a week ago.

The solution is to just pull really hard on the latch eventually it will let go. When it does check the cable mine was binding where it went through the top of the radiator. Its fine now...... If that is not the case you might be able to go in thorugh the lights.

No the cable snapped in half, it is currently hanging outside of my car I was wondering how I access the latch release? and if any body has a picture of what it looks like it would be extremely helpful.
