Ok, so far I have not discoverd a euro style fix (foglights with parking lights) as easy as this. Many people suggested buying a euro style foglight jumper and replacing the US-spec one. What many people didnt realize (at least that I found) is how easy it is to convert the US spec one to a euro spec one and heres how:

1) remove the cover under your steering column (3 screws)

2) find the relays (above the drivers left leg position)

3) pull the one on the bottom that is white labeled "213"

4) it will look like this on the bottom:

5) pull the white cover off it, it will look like this from the top:

6) Now heres the hard part, you need to slide the metal part out, it has tabs, now one side dosnt really matter if you keep the plastic mounting spot intact, but the otherone will help hold it in the new position, you need to pull it out and reinsert it like this:

7) install it all back again and PRESTO (you can also see the finished mesh grill I did on the lower valence):

Yeah,

Did exactly the same thing when I got mine, as being a Japanese spec car they would only operate on High beam.

WARNING, don't know about the US spec cars, but auto off only works on main beam for me. I.E. switch off ignition and the lights go out. With the fogs now operating on park - no auto off and no audible warning!

My first day at my new job, left them on, and battery was flat as a pancake! doh!

edit: I had to cut the jumper in two and solder a wire as the shape of my jumper would not allow me to just shift it. 5 more minutes work, stilll works though.

Black 96 850R Sedan
Weitec Cup Kit Springs on OEM shocks
QBM endlinks(just a matter of time I'm sure), Control arm bushings(fubared), Trans mounts(removed)
Now with round Volans!

This applies for US-spec too, just dont leave your parking lights on with your fogs when you leave the car, it will still auto-off in the headlight position, but not parking lights

Carson? This one's got your name all over it. Sounds like 15 minutes to me.

Smartass Edit: Okay guys, I'm going to set up a fund "The San Diego State University Fund for T5R Headlight Wiper Arms". If I can get 10 people to paypal $2 to jchapman@my-mail.ch, I'll ship the proceed to the university.

If rain and darkness prevented the NWC from modding, it would be sad day.

True. Darkness and snow didn't stop me from altering my headlights.

I need to ask Paul what his secret was for getting those tabs out... I can't do it, and I don't really feel like breaking the jumper attempting to get them out...
