Does anyone know the approximate cost of a Volvo rebuilt auto tranny for a 1999 S80 T-6? I think mine may be going after 100K miles. I've heard the dealer charges for 18 hours labor but I need to figure the cost of the rebuilt trans. Thanks

some where around 2000 I think. A friend of mine had it done, they quoted 5000 for a new one. I think they were saying around 2000 for the trans alone (rebuilt). It should be around there some where, it also depends on if you do get it done at the dealer, they will charge you and arm a leg, and possibly your first born. good luck

I think somewhere $2k-$3k for a rebuilt, and 16-18 hours of labor. At my dealer, labor is $89/hr.

In other words: not cheap.
