When I swapped to IPD bars, I basically tossed my stock front as it is useless, and kept my stock rear bar.

Up for sale is my stock 1996 850 Turbo sedan rear sway bar. This is NOT an IPD unit, it is a stock rear sway bar.

Taken from the FAQ, here is some information about the stock sway bar sizes:

QUOTE
1993 854 20 mm front, 19.5 rear
1994 854 20 mm front, 19.5 rear
---- optional sports package 21 mm front, 20 mm rear, extra firm shock absorbers
1994 855 20 mm front, none rear
---- optional sports package 21 mm front, 20 mm rear, novimat shock absorbers
1995 854 20 mm front, 19.5 rear
---- optional sports package 21 mm front, 20 mm rear, extra firm shock absorbers
1995 854 t5-r 21 mm front, 20 mm rear
1995 855 20 mm front, none rear
---- optional sports package 21 mm front, 20.8 mm rear, extra firm shock absorbers
1995 855 t5-r 21 mm front, 20.8 mm rear
1996 854 20 mm front, 19.5 mm rear
---- optional sports package 21 mm front, 20 mm rear, extra firm shock absorbers
1996 854 r 21 mm front, 20 mm rear
1996 855 20 mm front, none rear

1996 855 r 21 mm front, 20.8 mm rear
1997 850 20 mm front, 19.5 mm rear (including r)

As you can see, the 1994 and the 1996 850 Turbo wagons did not come with a rear sway bar. This will really help clean up your handling and is an easy bolt on job.

According to the FAQ this bar is either 19.5mm or 20mm... I tried measuring with a non-metric tape measure and could not get accurate enough to determine which one it is... it's a .5mm difference either way.

Here are some pics from all the angles:

For reference, IPD sells their bars for about $200 + shipping each individually. The IPD rear bar is 22MM and the IPD front is 25 MM.

The bar I am selling is my stock 850 Turbo sedan rear bar which is either 19.5 or 20MM smile.gif

It has been confirmed that this bar is:

Part # 9191459 (marked green) - 19.5 mm

Also, after researching further, I found that one needs this hardware (thank you Rich for the part #'s):

Drivers side
965189 flange screw/bolt rear
946473 flange screw/bolt front
955897 washer X2
971096 nut
971095 nut
passenger side
965220 flange screw/bolt X2
971098 nut X2

Also, someone asked FCP for the pricing and it came out to be:

965189........................2.50
946473........................4.75
955897........................0.35 x 2
971096........................0.65
971095........................1.25
965220........................1.35 x 2
971098........................1.50 x 2

= $15.55

It is recommended that you go to either Volvo (~$30) or FCP (~$16), or you could always go to your local hardware store and save another $5. smile.gif

Regardless... for the price of the bar + $16 for hardware, it is a very worth while investment.

Similar bars have gone here on VS for around $40 + shipping. I am asking for the same $40 + shipping. smile.gif

Thanks for looking.

I put the rear bar on my 855 and LORD what a difference. It tracks like a sedan, and really makes it tractable. With the Bilsteins, I have now driven the Tail of the Dragon (318 turns, 11 miles) in a highly spirited mode using the White Rabbit.

The Mustang driver was terribly embarrassed.
