The car worked fine, drove it for 15 min. Was very happy =)
But
1. My speedometer does not work
2. Tracs does not work
Any one have any ideas on how to fix this?
My Car is a 96, and I bought a M56H.
My understanding is that the speedo gets its information from the ABS...

On 95 and older, there is a speed sensor on the transmission. On 96 and newer, it comes from the ABS unit. This is why swaping in a 96-97 trans to a 95 means the speedo doesn't work anymore.

Then thing that dosent make sense is that My car is a 96 and I bought a M56H so is is from a 96 or 97 volvo cant remember. But do I have to plug anything in for it to work?? or does the ABS just sense the wheels.
Driving with out knowing how fast you are going when a cop is following you defintly puts your heart on the edge (trust me i know)

That's correct. You've got a little gremlin in your wiring harness eating at your sanity. The motor is not related.
By the by, 1st gear tops out around 20-25 mph, 2nd around 65, 3rd around 80-90 (IIRC). So.. that should give you kind of a general feel of how fast you're going.

So if I connect my old speed sensor wire to that ABS pin I should get a speed reading? Will it be accurate?
Thanks,

It should be present already. From what I can see the speed sensor on the TCM is only used for the AT itself. At least it is driven from and gives input to the TCM. After that I can't find any speed reference leading from the TCM to the dash unit, ABS controller or ECU.

If you have a 96 car your speedo should work without the engine or trans in the car. It senses speed from the abs sensors on the half shafts. You must have damaged or forgotten to hook up a connector.
