Based on his Ebay feedback, it looks like he has some shipping and communication problems.

Chuck said it was ok, so please do not delete my thread. Thanks.

Sounds like a pretty good deal! These prices are running on very small margins, and a good deal for anyone. The $25 fee for failed components is convienent because most manufacturers just require you to send back the whole system (if anyone remembers Adrian's kit). How much is shipping on just the bulbs? How about a Volvospeed discount code? That would probably get a lot of people to try them out. smile.gif

Just so you guys know, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. There is a reason why stock HID's cost a lot of money. There is a reason why John's HID's cost more as well. Those are quality kits/units that will last.

That's why I love my retro. OEM parts are just so great.

I keep TWO extra HID bulbs in my trunk. Why? they are bloody cheap! I have 20 of them at home. OEM Philips bulbs are $20 on eBay. Ballasts can be bought for $50/each on eBay as well.

OEM parts are:

a) reliable
cool.gif cheap
c) proper

why in your old auctions you had a 18 month warranty, then it was dropped to 14 months.

Because the bulbs were failing in 16 months like it was a religion and they didn't want to have to cover that laugh.gif

Could you please tell me the item number that says a warranty period of 18 months? As far as I know, we never had any item that promised a warranty period of 18 months.

i would suggest going to sharpHid just for the customer service. ballast blew a few days ago and john had everything taken care of by dinner time. The turn around rate was amazing.

Unless your buying OEM all these kits are pretty much the same. With that said I would buy either Philips from Xenondepot or whatever was cheapest.

Chuck.

integra9006hid does nice kits with OEM ballasts and bulbs. He uses Denso/Koito ballasts and rebases OEM Philips 85122 bulbs.

For $280, I think you can't go wrong!

I appreciate the support man!

The other problem here is that say you do need to replace a bulb or ballast within the 14 months you will have to send it all the way back to China - about $20-$30 for shipping due to customs etc. Then you may have to pay that again to have the replacement sent back here. All in all you are looking at 4-6 weeks just to get a replacement bulb or ballast. This is the problem with many of the ebay kits.

A lot of research and testing has gone into the kits I sell and they are using components my supplier believes to be the most reliable and most up to the job of offering a life time warranty.

+1 on Support for Johns HID kit it is very well made they thought of everything. You get what you pay for here.
