I just wanted to say that if you sell an item to an another member on this board, have the decency to follow through with the transaction and actually ship the item that was paid for. I find it disgusting that members would rip off other members on this board. We're supposed to be a "close knit" community and for the most part, I think we are. Also, if you sell an item, sell it as described. DO NOT LIE ABOUT THE ITEMS CONDITION! All we ask is that you just be honest, I don't think that's too much to ask. I just want to reiterate that we will ban anyone who takes money and doesn't send the item paid for to the purchaser. We cannot however ban someone for a missrepresented part due to the complications involved in deciding who said what etc etc.

Now, if you feel that you have been ripped off (it should be quite obvious..) by another member PM me and let me know the details and whomever is doing the theiving. Please only PM me legitimate claims too, if "bobby" said he would ship your item on Monday, and it's now Friday and he hasn't shipped it yet, DO NOT BOTHER TO PM ME OR ANYOTHER MOD! Give the seller a few weeks to ship the item, if the seller hasn't been replying to PMs, emails, IMs, phonecalls etc.. then contact myself or another OH moderator (please don't bother Charles w/ this stuff, this is what myself, Jenna, and the other mods are here for). I also encourge you to pay via paypal only and to remember that after you can open a dispute in the Resolution Center via paypal within 45 calendar days of payment. After that, you're screwed!

So...
IF YOU COLLECT MONEY FOR A PART FROM ANOTHER MEMBER ON THIS BOARD AND YOU DO NOT SEND THEM SAID PART, YOU WILL BE BANNED.

Does banned mean no access at all? So far it looks like HtownTurboBrick ripped me off, but I'd at least like him to be able to respond to PMs which he does once in a blue moon. If he had a personal email available that would be cool, but he doesn't have one listed. I don't get why he does ok with like 30 people and then takes my money and runs. He gave me a story about how they shipped the wires to the wrong address and got them returned and promised to send them out again, but that was over a month ago.
I can deal with a few days, but this has been going on for months now.

So we can no longer see the For Sale section unless we pay to become members? When did this change? I know it was not this way two weeks ago, and I know I can no longer see the For Sale board.

I should have explained myself better. Part of the draw of this and other forums is the ability to buy and/or sell parts. With other boards I've always donated a portion of my first sale. Now the option to sell before donating is no longer available on volvospeed. It seems to me that Classified sections are a good way to attract new members. Now if somebody asks about finding a part, my answer will still include Brickboard, Craigslist, IPD, Turbobricks, etc., but it won't include Volvospeed any longer. By cutting off access it I think that there will be fewer new members attracted to the site. So that's why I called it weak. maybe the reason for this change is explained somewhere and I just haven't searched for it. Plan_B, what are you, 3? My 6 year old has better responses than yours.

Its totally free and the reason why the for sale section is being phased out. For sale going away has nothing to do with revenue.
