It is I guess a small possiblity that BMW may. But as it says in the article it is pure speculation.

In German news they say it's only a rumour that BMW will be the buyer. It seems like the Volvo Penta company (Renault) has the best cards right now, but Hyundai ( ohmy.gif ) is also interested!

BMW would make my day, Renault a little less, but I could rely on patriotic pride to accept that move. Hyunday: I'd leave a note to let people know where to find my body.

If Hyundai buys Volvo, why will anybody care? We will still own the Pre-Ford Volvo's anyways, let alone Pre-Hyundai...
