Waaa, waaaaa, someone call the waambulance.

Joseph's just posting a video he has of his car accelerating, which is more than I can say for the vast majority of people here.  He doesn't think his car is hot shite, nor does he think this video makes it such.

As for the cursing and all, you would have to be there to know if there was a place for it since the video doesn't show the situation.  Assuming there wasn't, let kids be kids and go back to your grown up stuff.

Best video of the year?  Nah.  Something to mildly entertain losers like me, yes.

I could go on, but this is like stage 2 rambling at this point... I say the same thing in every post in this forum it seems.

lol, this one was spur of the moment... what can I say... that run was on the way back from videotaping a 15# SRT4 with a 75 shot pulling a fully built LT1 motor a new one (off spray) and also a bolt on LS1 cool.gif

I can always link those videos too lol

Can't see the video! Oh well. It won't let me DL it.

As far as C4's go...they certainly were not all "slow."

Granted, the L83 and L86 were not fast (205 and 240hp), but once they got 300, 330, 375 and 405hp options...they weren't pigs! The vast majority sold were autos, but that doesn't make them slow...what about our Turbo 850's?! wink.gif

If it was a pre-91, and you have a few mods to your turbo, no doubt you could have walked him. Later models, hard to say for sure without knowing both cars. It doesn't help not knowing what year C4 it was, since they mostly looked identical but could have vastly different power ratings!

QUOTE(turbor850 @ Aug 29 2004, 10:07 PM)
my conclusion . . . . . .

The Volvo was looking quick.
The passenger sucked at Video Taping to a degree.
The LT1 isn't fast at all.
The LT1 only runs 13.9 stock if I remember?
The Volvos are always quicker from a roll and can beat cars with quicker 1/4 mile in some cases. (hence my friend runs 13.6 Mustang/14.2 S60R and from 60 I can stay even and then pull up top 110 mph when S60R in FWD)
The LT1 got what he deserved.

BUT . . . .

was the LT1 automatic ?
was the 850 running 13 psi ?
was the 850 punching it first ?
View Post

Ok, first off, that was NOT an LT1 ...that was a 1985-1987 L98 Corvette with stock 245HP...LT1 did not come out until 1992 and they had stock 300HP and it didnt look you pulled on him at all....you hung with him... find a 92 or newer Corvette to race...you'll see a different result..........and wow-wee!! you hung with a mid 80's Corvette.....I have a 100% stock 2001 Corvette...I would be happy to run with ya....are you in South FL? laugh.gif

Yes, I am in South Florida.

Flash, I have had a variety of modifications on this car, 3 different turbos, 3 different ecus, 2 sets of injectors, fuel pumps, blah blah blah. Who cares anymore. Right now I'm on stock chip with injectors, fuel pump, and boost controller. Give me a couple of weeks so I can hook up my nitrous kit, and we will go at it. I am interested to see what I can do with 300 WHP against a 2001 Corvette. I would run you now, with about 250 WHP, but it wouldn't be worth the gas. We would stay close to each other for about 1 second, then you would pull past me. No competition. However, once I get this nitrous kit finalized, having a tough time tapping a fuel source (no compatible fuel rail fitting and I'd rather not tap a pre-rail fuel source), we will go at it.

Please, though, I have run stock LS1's in the past with a different turbo and ecu setup, I had 4 people in my car, he had 2 in his (but his t-tops were off). From 80 - 140 he got me by 1 car length. On that setup, I would have run you today if you wanted to. But, it's fun to change setups as I'm sure you know. So, I would be glad to run you, are you in South Florida?

Yes, a much different result, I begin to healthily pull on them at about 55, and put a car length or two by 90.
