OH... and i bottomed out the other night (well my friend did, i was drunk in the passenger seat..along with 3 girls in the back)... bending the exhaust braket of death(didn't know about this issue until just now actually) into the exhaust and bending my prop-shaft... so now.. i need to figure out the best plan of action to repairing this
AND.. i may be working out a deal with my buddy for his EST TBE.. and belle FMIC

i cut away the entire metal brace.. and actualy had it bolted to the bottom of the plastic valance dodad thing... (with long pieces of metal across the other side of it).... and i also had some big zipties on the sides incase the bolts gave away from the plastic...never had any problems
and also i wouldn't worry about the "structural integrity" (i know people will rip me apart for saything this) of the lack of the cross brace thing...
after taking a f350 to the face.. i belive the frame rails held up surprisingly ok? haha
