Replacing Vacuum Lines On A 1995 850 (n/)
Posted 15 Dec 2008
OK,
I admit it. I bought a Samco silicone vacuum line kit from a listmember many moons ago but I have been nervous about doing the upgrade. I have trouble picturing how this hosing, which looks a little over-sized compared to the old rubber hose, will fit into some of the t-fittings and other spots. On my 1995 850 wagon (N/A) I see some lines that are pretty small and very hard that actually go into the fitting and I wonder how I could get the silicone tubing in that opening?
I have been using the excuse of cold weather and no garage or warm place to work on this. I even thought more than once about getting rubber vacuum tubing instead. But I need to do this. I have a rough idle when the engine is cold (and still not smooth after warm up) and I believe my chronic cruise control issue is directly related to the same thing. (If it is below 30 degrees F outside, the cruise will not hold until the car is completely warmed up. Even when it is warm, it will not hold the speed at which I engage the cruise, always dropping back about 5 mph.)
So, any help anyone can offer, tips, photos, rants, jibes or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. -
Anybody Buy Angel Eyes/projectors From Zomkspeed?
Posted 15 Dec 2008
I need to replace the headlights on my 850 wagon. Looking over the options with OEM, the prices are pretty ridiculous. I also want to do an HID conversion with SharpHid bulbs. Replacing my headlight assemblies as well as adding Euro-Spec lenses adds up in a hurry. So I looked at IPD and on ebay. This guy's Angel Eyes/Projectors look identical to the ones at IPD for many $$'s less. Anyone have any experience with Zomkspeed and his projectors? ( http://tinyurl.com/6nmbgh ) Any problems or issues aiming the headlights or just any difficulties?
Does anyone recall off the top of their heads the name of the protective film some are using on their headlights? -
850 Idles Rough When Cold
Posted 4 Dec 2008
I have a 1995 N/A 5 speed 850. Just replaced the plugs and O2 sensor. But since first getting this car nearly two years ago, it has always idled very roughly when the outside air temp dips below 40 degrees F. Any suggestions or ideas? Once the car is warmed up, she runs much more smoothly but still not sewing-machine steady at idle.
