So I've had a combo boost/vacuum guage installed for a while now. Normally, I only glance at it either when idling or when in full boost. So anyway, for some reason I actually paid more attention to it than usual while driving around - and a thought occurred to me. So I'll ask you guys:
If zero boost = atmospheric pressure, then when I am driving around town and the guage reads zero or some state of vacuum, is that the same type of acceleration characteristics that I would expect driving an n/a version of my car?
Or better stated, all else being equal, which do you think is faster to 30mph, your car (without boost) or the n/a version of your car? I know N/As have more compression and ignition timing, but would that be significant enough to make a difference from 0-30mph?
