If you happen by Cedar Point this summer, Check out the Ice show (who knew?) where my daughter is the lead female soloist.
She is also 1800 miles from home with a 13 year old Volvo. She knows how to change a coil pack and how to use the code reader I sent with her.
I should probably just buy an open ended round trip ticket for the eventual repair trip. Or, hire one of you smart (trustworthy.....) VSrs when the time comes.

Rn Motor Install
17 May 2012 - 08:37 PM
I am putting an 01 LPT motor in the R, using the 19T for now with the 20G waiting on me to weld some pipe.
I had to bore (ok drill out) the cams to accomodate the distributor plate and Cam position sensor. I sourced a new(er) AC compressor and Alternator and PS pump and am using the new accesory bracket which I feel is a huge inmprovement alone.
For now the engine is bone stock internally but I may put my forged rods in once the current motor is on the bench.
I will use the existing intake manifold and open up the ports as much as possible to mate better with the RN head.

01 Timing Belt
16 May 2012 - 07:39 PM
I am about to replace the timing belt on an 01 motor. Exhaust has VVT. My typical timing marks would be, between the two notches on the crank pulley and the cam sproket notches straight up. Does this sound correct? The motor currently seems to have the cam sprocket notches past vertical one tooth and I feel like I should "fix" it.
Nice S70
02 April 2012 - 10:37 PM
I passed a very nice White '99ish V70 just south of Ft. Lauderdale on the I95 Sunday. De-badged with wing but otherwise pretty stock looking. Super clean and shiny.
Not wanting to make my Malibu Rental feel any worse, I skulked on by.
Can't fix my error from the phone but it was a wagon.
