Same thing as last year, if you are attending Midwest Madness this year and want to shorten the drive up on Saturday, I'm opening up the cabin for a Friday night pre-party.
What: Drive up to the Milwaukee area on Friday mid-afternoon, from there we will drive to my cabin in Beaver Dam and spend the night there.
When: Friday, June 22nd. Around 2:00 at a location TBD.
Why: Cut out a few hours of your drive on Saturday morning.
We'll have a fire, grill out, drink some beers, and get the weekend started correctly. You can wash your car if you want, any last minute fixes, etc. Drive some go-karts. We'll head out around 8-9 Saturday morning to head up to Eau Claire. We can either eat breakfast at the cabin, or head into Madison to get something. As of now, there are no plans to meet anyone else on the drive up, so we don't need to stop in Madison unless we need to for whatever reason.
If you're down, let me know! I'll be heading up to the cabin regardless, so even if only a couple people want to, we will still do this.

Midwest Madness Friday Night Pre-Party

Online Music Radios
14 May 2012 - 02:56 AM
Anyone using any of the online music radio thingers? I.E. Pandora, Slacker, Spotify, etc? I used to...uh.....borrow....my music from the internet, but when my computer crashed I lost pretty much everything I had. I don't wish to get my music like that again so I am considering one of the music streaming stations. I know they all have their free subscriptions, but I am looking for something that I can listen to on my phone as well as connect to my HU in my car and listen to music.
I had Pandora for a year (paid subscription) and it was alright, but I felt like their playlist was really small. Then my brother got me a year subscription to Slacker. I thought it was way better than Pandora, but again, after listening to it for a week, I felt like I was hearing the same songs over and over. Now I'm using Spotify and I really like it, how you can pick and choose artists, make playlists, etc. but in order to listen to it on a mobile device the service is $10/month, compared to Slacker which IIRC is around $5.
Anyone using any other ones or is there something else to use?

2Nd Annual Mwc Summber Slumber Party Bash
10 May 2012 - 05:40 PM
Alright. Here it is. 2nd Annual MWC Summer Slumber Party being held at my cabin in Beaver Dam, WI. We're talking a Friday to Sunday extravaganza of Summer Shandy and brats, but mostly floating in a lake with a cooler(s) of beer.
Date: August 24th-26th
From last year:

Details: I ask that people bring almost enough food to feed ourselves. Everyone bring a couple packs of meet, some chips, etc. We will essentially be grilling everything. My parents will probably hit us up with breakfast or something. There is a bathroom with a toilet and shower, we're not roughnecking it.
This will be a Friday through Sunday event. We'll be sleeping in tents, if you feel the need for a cushioned sleeping surface, you do not need to sleep in your car.
Lee.
Last year we all met in Milwaukee and from there caravaned to my cabin in Beaver Dam, it is approx. 1.5 hours away from Milwaukee. If you want to come, but do not want to come up to Milwaukee, I can give you an address to figure out directions. This year, maybe we won't meet in Milwaukee due to the shitty construction and roads and it might be easier to just meet outside of the city.
If you're coming, please let me know.

Most importantly, be sure to bring twice as much beer as you think you need as well as a cooler for that beer since that's where we'll be keeping it all!!!!! Last year we had to make a couple trips into town to stock back up.

Rpms Hanging After Blowing An Intercooler Coupler
29 April 2012 - 09:12 PM
The other night on my way home I blew an intercooler pipe out of the coupler. It was my fault, didn't tighten down the coupler all the way. Well, when it happened you could not see that it was blown at all. The pipe was still sitting in the coupler, just loosely. It being night and on the highway, I couldn't see jack shit. It still ran, kinda rough, wouldn't go above 40mph, but I drove it about 2-3 miles to a gas station where I could get a better look. Since it was still running but really sporadic, I tried to see what was wrong. I unplugged the TPS to see if maybe that had something to do with, after doing that, it consistenly idled at 2k. Turned off the car and was going to take a look inside the TB, and that's when I found the pipe had blown off. Got it back together, and was driving it and for about 5 miles the car idled at 1k and the RPMs hung like crazy between shifts. By the time I got home the idle settled back down to 900, but the RPMs are still hanging a little bit.
Did I mess something up with the TPS? I figured it went into some sort of limp mode or something. I'm going to unplug the battery over night to see if maybe it just needs to be reset or something. Thoughts? The RPMs were not hanging nowhere near what they are now before the pipe blew off.
Thanks.

Brake Caliper-Only One Side Of Rotor Seeing Action
09 April 2012 - 02:46 PM
My driver side rotor is only seeing action on the inside half of the rotor. I've removed the slide pins and cleaned them and greased them up and still the same thing. Is the brake caliper the culprit if it's not the slide pins?
Thanks.
Gabe
Thanks.
