  1. Aw50-42 Le Sl1 Solenoid

    Posted 10 Nov 2009

Anyone have an extra transmission laying around that is serving no purpose? If so, I need the SL1 solenoid from it. I'll take the S1 and S2 also if you don't mind parting with them for a few bucks.
  2. S/V/C 70 Jewel Headlamps

    Posted 1 Jul 2009

As stated in the title, I am looking for S/V/C 70 Clear jewel headlamps. No ABM's/projectors please. Thanks.
  3. Infinity Basslink Powered Subwoofer

    Posted 26 Jan 2009

Gently used for a couple years, by me. Never subjected to abuse of any sort. Sounds awesome. For those who don't know, this is just a powered subwoofer, meaning there is no need to mess with an amp, etc.. The driver is 10" and the power rating is 200W. I will include all necessary wiring. Due to the size/weight, I am asking $125 shipped on this. EDIT: I know the thread subtitle says $130, but it lies. The price is $125.

  4. 1995 850 T5

    Posted 26 Jan 2009

    SOLD

    1995 850 T5 138.7k miles

Engine: B5234T with 3" JT downpipe imported from Sweden, Magnaflow catalytic converter, 2.5" Euro Sport Tuning cat-back exhaust. AEM Dryflow air filter. GLT Cams. All 4 cam seals were done when the cams were done. Ball/Spring MBC set to 14 PSI. New timing belt, t-belt tensioner, tensioner roller, water pump, 3k miles ago. Both top engine mounts are polyurethane. Transmission mount has about 20k on it. Intercooler has close to 30k miles. Radiator replaced 25k miles ago. Samco IC and radiator hose kit. Fuel pump 10k miles ago. The PCV system on the car was overhauled within the last 25k miles. Transmission was rebuilt 30k miles ago and upgraded while it was apart. It is the Aisin Warner 50-42 4-spd auto unit rebuilt with performance clutches, converter stall raised by 100 RPM (which I believe makes it a 2900 RPM stall converter now), and cryo-treated planetary gear set. Rear main seal was replaced at this time. Transmission has since, always had Mobil 1 ATF. The engine receives Mobil 1 10w-40 every 5k miles with a Mann/OEM filter. During the 5k miles, it seems to use about 0.75 quarts of oil or so (quite low all things considered). New MAF 15k miles ago. New cam position sensor 30k miles ago. New throttle position sensor 7k miles ago. New fuel pump relay 20k miles ago. New fuel injector relay 30k miles ago.

Suspension/Steering: Weitech Sport Cup Kit, IPD truss style strut brace, IPD sport swaybars. Powerflex Control Arm Bushings in Control Arms that have about 20k miles on them. The bushings themselves only have 3k miles. Outer tie rods replaced 25k miles ago. As a result, the steering on this car is very tight and it feels very connected to the road at all times. 17 x 7.5" "Tethys" wheels w/ sticky UHP all-season rubber. Front tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Seasons and have maybe 5k miles of life left in them. The rears are Continental Contiextreme Contact and look nearly brand new w/ at least 90% tread. Both front and rear tires are 215/45/17 size.

Brakes: Fronts are at 90% and are Mintex red box. Rears are at 40% I'd say and are OEM.

Body: Straight. There are a few dings on the roof from hail damage, but nothing very noticeable. Jewel headlamps in excellent shape w/ 6000 K HID Japanese made HID kit that I bought several years ago for a lot of money before everyone started making the kits in China and selling them for less than $100. Fogs are Catz MSP (Very high quality Japan built units; no autozone crap) with Philips bulbs. S70 roof trim strips w/ rain deflectors. OEM sidemarkers added. NO Rust! This has been a TX car its whole life.

Interior: Tan. Lotek single gauge pod w/ Autometer Cobalt boost gauge. T-5R genuine walnut shift knob. Kenwood CD player/head unit. Intro-tech custom fit reflective sun shade. A/C works great. PO had the evaporator done. Blitz Full Auto Turbo Timer. Tint was professionally done by Alta Mere in Plano and is 35% VLT on the sides and 20% on the rear window.

The bad: ABS light comes on when it's warm out due to a 1-4-2 and 1-4-1 code that no one seems to know much about, but there may be a fix. I have not tried it yet. With relatively grippy tires on the car though, I've never managed to lock up even during hard stops. The driver's seat needs TLC. It would need a re-cover at this point on the seat bottom. It also needs a good waxing/detail, which I can take care of once the weather warms. There is no antenna installed in the car at the moment. I have one in hand, but have not installed it. It has the typical 850/S70 interior rattles, but nothing out of the ordinary. This isn't really a bad since it doesn't affect the car, but I should probably mention it. The car was in a light fender bender in July of '04 (hit and run by drunk driver at 10-15 mph). It required replacement of the passenger door skin, the black door trim pieces, front bumper, hood (was tweaked slightly) and the fender. All work was done by Richardson Automotive, the body shop for Volvo of Richardson. Only OEM parts were used.

With the car, you would also receive my box of 850 parts including a full size spare, working MAF, extra jewel headlamp, working o2 sensors, various other sensors/valves, and lots of other bits I've collected over the years. The car has service records from the previous owner as well, who had the car worked on at Volvo of Richardson for most of its life.

I really really hate to let this car go. I've had it for 4 1/2 years and it has always been good to me. I have spent soooo many hours working my butt off to get it the way I like, that it makes me sick to think about it. I'm just hoping that I don't kick myself later on down the road, wishing I hadn't sold it. However, I've got a new car and I just feel like it's time to move on from this one. Asking $3500, which I feel is a very fair price for a car that has so much time and money invested in it. Please don't waste your time with lowball offers. Car is located in the Dallas area.

  5. Jealous Volvo?

    Posted 21 Dec 2008

    Taken from my other thread:

Hhhhmmm. I swapped the ECU from the S70. It still doesn't start. The only code present on the 850 is 3-2-5 (Memory Failure). It turns over. I've got spark and fuel pressure.

Background: The car hasn't been started in about 3 1/2 weeks (yeah, bad idea, I know) and now it doesn't want to start. The gas in it can't be more than 6 weeks old at the VERY most, and is more likely about 5 weeks old. I've tried starting fluid and all. What gives? It ran perfectly a few weeks ago. All the belts are pretty fresh and are in tact. A few nights ago, it ran rough for about a second, then died. Any other recommendations?
