I'm going to have to disagree with you there. I have these on with the helper springs removed and turned down pretty far. Only an 1.5" left or so to go down and the ride is fantastic. WORLD'S better than the Koni DIY coilovers were, I mean, substantially better. Even with the helper springs removed these take bumps and cracks like a champ. No longer am I puckering my brown eye every single time I hit a bump like I was with the Konis.
I wasn't comparing these to Koni DIY's since I know those are shitty compared to these options. I was comparing TA's to the damening adjustable KW Variants. Obviously I can't talk from "personal experience" because I've never rode on TA's, but would I want to remove the helpers on these and crank my coils down super low? No. Not after my experience with DIY's and riding in other car makes with helpers removed lol. Might be good to drive to a show and back or on the weekends but I wouldn't want to ride that daily, at least. I basically was trying to state that you get what you pay for lol.

I think these are a good option for the money...if you're wanting a cheap coilover and want to go low (without the helpers in the front). Are these going to ride nice when you're all the way down with no helpers? Definitely not.
This is where purchasing KW's for the extra money is nice, because with some of the higher Varients you'll actually be able to adjust the dampening.
Are the TA's better / go lower / ride nicer than the D2's? Who knows. But noone should buy these things for $600 and expect them to be super awesome comfortable riding coils....because they're not valved to ride low and comfortable.
Over the years I've done multiple sets of lowering springs, DIY coils and a few sets of air struts and I've learned a few things. Most of the time it's better to spend the extra money to get a better product (God dammit, Reid), depending on what you're wanting to get out of it. So with that being said, if you want to be low and don't care about being super comfortable...these look like a great option.
