  1. 10 Cylinders Of Fury. 50% Volvo.

Taken a few blocks from home.
My friend's 2008 2.5L I5 Rabbit is lowered on H&R springs with Koni yellow adjustables. AWE cat-back, Carbonio CAI, Chipped. It dynoed 185hp. 15hp over stock bhp. He just bought a set of black 18" Mercedes C63 AMG wheels which he'll be installing next spring. These pics were taken the day he put it into storage for the winter.

He also has a 5 speed 95 850 Turbo wagon for all season.
Here's a video of him passing me (loud), followed by my T5 easily starting to catch up :D

I took these tonight. It was just about freezing so no hope of using my tire shine. Oh well, the pics turned out good.

  4. Vibration Only When Accelerating Above 60Mph

    Posted 16 Oct 2009

When ever I accelerate from around 60mph, my car vibrates. The feeling is gone if I let off the gas of put it in N. If I accelerate hard in 3rd gear, the vibration is very strong.

The wheels are balanced and the car is aligned properly. There is no noise from the CV joints when driving around slowly and visually they look fine. No popping and clicking when turning. Just this vibration when putting the power down.

    ???
  5. What Size Of 15" Tire Should I Run For Winter?

    Posted 9 Oct 2009

I have as set of 15" Antlia wheels. Last winter I ran them on 205/65/15. A huge, chunky looking tire, but it worked just fine on the C70. Now that my car is lower, I want to go with something smaller. Not just for the clearance, but because I like the way the car sits on a slightly smaller tire.

I'm between a 195/65/15 and a 195/60/15. I'm leaning more towards the 60 profile, because it will fit nicely with the lower stance. Plus I love the way Antlias look on a smaller tire. But the 65 will raise the car up a bit. Undoubtedly smaller than the tires I have now, but not as sleek as a 60 profile.

Anyone running 15's in winter? What would you suggest?
