So I've been doing some research and forum searching, but I haven't found a single person (yet) who has the M66W from a FWD S40/V50/C30.
You gotta figure there are waaaay more of those floating around than the AWD version since they came in more cars.
Also, I haven't read through Hussein's full build thread yet (daunting) since I assume he goes over what is needed to swap one over, but can someone give me the cliff notes? I assume it's roughly similar in the engine bay, but the problem I'm thinking is in the shift cables and stuff.
EDIT: Woops...the FWD 6spd is the M66W. My bad. Can a mod please change the thread title? Danke
Also, if anyone is interested in making the calendar shoot me a PM. I enjoy doing it, but clearly my PS talent is severely lacking. I can supply the pics if you can supply the calendar layout. <3
Ok so I have a couple things I decided to try and see where that nets me. Those items are e46 shrouds (thanks to Matt!) and eyebrows (thanks to the other Matt). And I must say, this is one of the very few times eyebrows work. Note: the brows aren't done with painting. It was more to just throw some color on them really quick while Matt was in town. Now, on to the pictures.
Just eyebrows and RZ shrouds. I think this makes them look slightly less "surprised" and looks pretty good if you ask me:
I had to modify the e46 shrouds a little to get them to fit in the housing (wish I had a belt sander) but managed to get them looking half decent:

And finished result:
Same as last time, I'll get some daytime pics up tomorrow.
Ok, so I'm thinking about building a dining room table. I'm seeing garbage tables on Craigslist for $150+ that look like shit and anything decent to buy is $650+. I'm thinking I can get the lumber for what I want for way cheaper than that, or at least near the CL price but look killer. Anyone have any good plans or thoughts? I'd like to think I'm halfway competent and have built things before (my workbench and a outdoor chaise lounge). The optimist in me is saying "pfft this will be a breeze," but my realist side is going "holy crap this better be worth it."
I love this, but used her plans before and they weren't...the best. But I still love the design: Cool Table Plans
Also, I don't mind paying for plans but I have no clue where to find cool ideas. Something super simple that can be made out of really nice wood. I'm talking super simple table with 4x4 legs and a fucking beautiful, thick, species of wood for the top (recently saw tulipwood, maybe nice cedar). All hardwood. Lag screws. Done. Rustic and simple.
Found this on CL as well and it's basically the concept I'm going for, sans $700:
