marsman
I have an S60 2002 and my hood release latch has been broken for a long time. I was getting by opening my hood with a pair of pliers pulling on the existing wire. I took my car in to have some work done, now the wire is gone. i have no way of opening the hood. Can anyone tell me how I may be able to get the hood latch to release? I plan on taking it in to the shop that did the work on my headlights and apparently removed the cable next week. I do need to add some oil and check fluids in the meantime. Thank you!
Ihatespeedbumps
Did the shop completely remove the cable? I'll bet they just shoved it back under the hood. Trying going through the bottom and see if you can fish the cable out.
marsman
I took it to the shop and the owner was able to reveal more of the wire on the driver side under the dash. So I do have the ability to open the hood. I will be grabbing a used cable release from Erie Volvo next month though! Thanks.
