mazboltor
Hello all, I own a 1996 volvo 850 with 162k miles.Yesterday, I noticed check engine light and upon checking with my reader I obtained a P0102 code which is Mass air flow sensor error. Now my question is this.. Should I replace the MAF right away, FCP has it for 168.00Earlier in the week, the car stalled on a red light which appears to be related to the MAF..How much of a bad news is this if I neglect to fix right away..On another note, my passenger head light just went out.. can i just replace the bulb, or do I need to purchase the entire unit..Thanks a million in advanceMazboltor :monkey:
andrew_the_fox
about the stall? No stalling is good stalling. I don't know if it's the MAF or not, but I'm sure someone else does. ABout the headlight, all you have to do is replace the bulb. Check your manual for the correct number of the bulb i am pretty sure that its 9006 for low beam. Check your manual
wills
Do you have an oil type air filter like K&N? Or even a dirty filter? You can try cleaning the MAF and the resetting codes. If you have an oiled filter it may be the filter has too much oil and needs cleaning.
Account_Deleted_T5M
Check and clean the MAF connections. Bay 13 Maf Connector Fixer Upper You might just have a lose connection from years of vibrations. I would check this first before you replace it. Oh and whatever you do don't go to the dealer to get the MAF replaced ) its a very easy DIY job.-Rob-
