lax01
I've never had this happen before, but I was driving to work today and I was doing 65-70 in light traffic when the Transmission Arrow starts flashing. No noises could be heard when it came out so nothing mechanic broke (as I checked the fluid and its fine). I get off the highway at work and the car is only in 3rd and 4th gear (this made getting into the parking lot fun). The car was fine yesterday however, I also got new wheels...17" Pegasus with 235/45/17 on them. This is the only thing that changed on the car so I'm willing to guess it has something to do with the increased diameter of the tire. Anybody got any ways to resolve this? Thanks! Sadude
Can you pull a code and maybe try resetting the issue? Also I have heard that just ratcheting the auto shifter back and forth (from P all the way down and back up again) sometimes helps to clear the code as wellHow much bigger are the tires than what you had before? How big is the difference in overall diameter?
Drew
I'd almost be willing to bet it is coincidence and you might want to famililarize yourself with the pnp swap out.Have fun! :D
lax01
heh....it was the code for Incorrect Gear Ratio....and I cleared it and it hasn't come back...so who knows if it was just a coincidence or if just had to adjust to the larger tires...who knows...thanks guys
