Zappo
http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/09/bmw-rep...n-buying-volvo/That would be scary Don't know if this is fact or not, or just how serious they were looking at it. Like the article said, it is unlikely that Ford would sell Volvo since the company is the most profitable in PAG.

Chilled man
. Volvo is what it is now because of Ford and Ford would never be the same without Volvo. They need each other. So I don't see this purchase happening.Posted at 3:17PM on May 9th 2007 by HamudDumbass , we dont need no shitty fords to make our cars better so far all we have seen is a down turn from being with ford Ford , with out volvo will die WOOO HOO NO MORE CRAPY Vehicles that rednecks with say is the best FoundOn RoadsideDead

scandalo
This isn't even close to being bad. Who here hates BMW? Honestly? Doubt BMW would screw with the formula too much.
viperman135
Hmm maybe Volvo could finally figure out the whole idea of turning. Yeah that would be nice. Is it just me or does it seem like every other day some company wants to buy Volvo.
Gray850
I think it'd be good. It would give the brand some "street cred" if you get me. I think volvo could build a legitimate alternative to those who purchase mb, bmw, audi, or lexus as the brand stands presently. The problem though, is the image remains the same so it's tough to get those customers into the show room. A move like this might help that out.
