Owned
ummm im pretty sure Patrick used garden stuff from Home DepotCove base molding has nothing to do with a garden. I've used it in the past. It's cheap, easy, and if you happen to smash it on a bad incline or something you're only out $9.Here's the second time I used it:http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?&...lery&id=796http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?&...lery&id=795Get 4" cove base and a three aluminum yard sticks to brace it on the backside. You can paint it if you want. To me it was just a cheap thing to try until I got a better solution so I never painted it.
jazzyjeff
I dont really know if I'd like it for my car but it does look cool. Could you explain or show pictures of how and where you mounted it? And how stiff is it? Like does it flap in the wind when youre cruising down the interstate at 70+ mph? Could you explain or show pictures of how and where you mounted it? And how stiff is it? Like does it flap in the wind when youre cruising down the interstate at 70+ mph?It wouldn't work well on an S70.Basically, it's just epoxied to the bumper. The first time I used bumper adhesive and the second time I just used some vinyl adhesive, which obviously was not as strong. I wanted it to be easier to remove the second time around. It's good and stiff when you brace it with the yard sticks.
jazzyjeff
wow, thats pretty slick then. And yeah, I saw it was on your 850 and that it wouldnt line up with the front of an S70. There was a guy that lived in the same apartment complex as me that had used rain gutters as side skirts. It looked really nice from far away but you could definitly tell something was off once you got closer. This doesnt look bad at all from the pics you posted.
