  1. Finally got the car washed and waxed after far too long of running it dirty. This summer has been a bitch to try to keep cars clean in my area. Took the opportunity to snap an obscene amount of photos with my sisters Canon Rebel. Here as a few of my favorites. Please ignore the less than optimum back drops on some of these... I do plan for a more scenic local for a photo shoot later this fall. Enojy! Also in other news the parts collection for the winter project has begun... SMF that will be resurfaced and lightened and a freshly bead blasted "R" manifold are now im my possession
  2. Well I have logged several hundred on a 33% E85 mix.. All I can say is wow... I know this has been covered before and everything but I was just slightly skeptical that this change in fueling could make a noticeable difference. Im here to say it certainly does. All around it just seems peppier. 2nd breaks loose a bit more freely etc. Now this is all pretty relative. Something a little more readable perhaps is that my buddies Stage 2 B5 S4 went from pulling 2ish lengths on from 60-Too Much he now cannot get off my drivers side door
  3. Hmmm suprises... I'm now worried
  4. Quick update on the plans for the winter. The current clutch is slipping whenever a launch is attempted So a clutch is in order. It holds fine accept for launches so I'm holding off till winter when it will be off the road anyways. So far the list of items I plan/hope to accomplish includes: New Clutch (R PP, and a spec stage 2+ disc?? Open to ideas on that yet), a SMF (bought from JoshV70), poly subframe and control arm bushings, 20t with 11/9 wheels, 7cfm housing along with angle flange dp, R manifold or japanifold (Tell me which and why), and last but certainly not least a TMM9 tune to bring this build to it's max potential. Really looking forward to playing with the new setup next season. In other news I recently bit the bullet and started running a 30% e85 mix. Don't have many miles on it yet but I can tell a noticeable difference.. I.e. 2nd gear breaking loose on flat dry roads haha... Will keep this updated with my long term feelings on it... I also need to get some good non iPhone pics to post one of these days... Thanx for reading, Cheers
  5. My dirty POS work daily.......
  6. ^^^^^ It went pretty good. 1st time doing it and there is a bit of a learning curve. My advice is take your time and keep it hot. When the fender is cooler it just is harder.. I managed to. It crack any paint so it's not too bad. Have a tiny bit of rubbing on the back driver side with 3 people in the car. Pretty sure the liner just needs trimmed a bit more. But if not I can always roll it a bit more...
  7. Nice. I have driven no other T5s so my car might be slow as stuff compared to others haha. But it feels quick to me
  8. Who's was the fastest S70 you've been in? Just out of curiosity...
  9. Rape.... Haha. Still want to pull you in the S70 and see how it stands... I have pulled around with a few R's with varying mod lists and none have made me look silly.
  10. Freshly washed and waxed patiently waiting for me to finish the fender rolling and spacers. And to get the 18s ready to go on...
  11. Thanx man!! Was cool meeting you last weekend...
  12. Yeah I just broke down and bought a roller finally. So I can you with it as I have time. I don't see it being a problem. I have quite a bit of clearance now with the 10s so another 5ish mm pull on the rears and i should be ready to go...
  13. Yeah I know. Need to think about it and do some more research before I decide for sure... If I do go a small jump like that in going to go full blown. Billet and 11 or 9 blade exhaust wheel, angle flange and r manifold.
  14. Mmm maybe. Doubt I'll have the funds to build the engine this year yet and would be kinda sketchy to 20g a stock engine. Was thinking either a billet 19t or 20t till I have cash for a full build. Just something to spice it up a bit.
  15. Yep. For this summer yet. Looking to go a bit bigger for next season possibly...
  16. Alright this next section is going to be a bit picture heavy as it takes it from torn apart to as it its Enjoy... Freshly PC'd manifold sitting with the fuel rail with the fresh greens waiting to go in... Manifold and fuel rail installed along with a set of silicone rad hoses.. Snabb FMIC in... Maciek's old car photo bombing... Reloomed some stuff and just a general shot of the bay coming together. Did my 1st subframe drop on the green car. Took like 4 min to pull the turbo haha. Old block will mostly likely be built in the long run and the trans is going in T5RM's car (Maciek's T5R) Little baby 18T. Used to think this was big... Zero shaft play after 20k hard run miles. Shout out to Spanky for great work rebuilding this... In the new car and running strong. Bit of polishing work. So much wet sanding was involved Another engine bay progress photo. Installed these meaty ass things. IPD Track Spec bars. Gosh do I love them... Getting closer!! Ready for 1st start... And it did.. On 2 cylinders........ Apparently 3 out of 5 injectors were stuck and not cycling properly So ripped them back out and shipped them off to get recleaned, thereby postponing my 1st start by a week and a half Anyways the injectors did get back and the worked great this time around. This is a quick shot of how it sat right after it left the shop for the 1st time in 6 months. Installed some 35w 6000k HIDs in my ABMs.. Such light!! Quick shot of the cluster with the LEDs in. I think it looks great. Dont mind the CEL and ABS lights those have all been sorted... Did my 1st Quaife install sometime along the way. Unfortunatly not for my car T5RM's car will be gripping a bit better this year At my buddys shop prepping for window tint, lightly tinted tails, and some vinyl. The direction i went with this may be slightly controversial. The car was repainted in a somewhat mediocre fashion at some point or atleast parts of it. The roof was pretty bad. So i decided to wrap it. Also the car was spoilerless so I decided to wrap the one off the green car. I personally think it looks great but each to his own. I shot for something a bit different than anything I have seen on a P80. Played around with some different stuff and ended up with this... And a shot of the pre Carlisle engine bay clean up... Anyways I shall accept feedback of all types on this wrap thing. The cool thing is its viny. When/if i get tired of it, i simply peel it. For those interested the wrap is a textured brushed finish. Pictures really cant do it justice. In the sun, its just wow..... The car is currently sitting on semi beat 17" Pegs with 10mm rear spacers. Next goal is to get my 18" Pegs I got from Timo powder coated and installed with 20mm rear and 10mm front spacers. And then a lip of some type. Not sure where that is going to end up yet tho. I'll do my best to keep this updated as I go from now on Cheers
  17. Finally getting around to bringing this up to date. To start where I left off. Some more random stuff was pulled off and then the upper head came off for the 1st time. Stock cams chilling... The head after a nice through cleaning. The upper head before cleaning. Stuff everywhere!!! Yes i made sure the NA one went in Upper head cleaned up and the NA cams installed and locked in place. Shout out to Goldponcho for letting me borrow the cam tools. Made the job much less scary... Getting buttoned back up.. T-belt back on and ready to be timed. Currently running a -4 degree intake and a 0 Exhaust. Any imput on a better setup would be interesting to here. To be continued shortly...
  18. Tint is happening tomorrow. Along with some other stuff The 18s will be a couple weeks yet. Just cant swing the money for tire yet. And still trying to decide if i want to just refinish them and be done before they go on haha
  19. Are we forgetting the new Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 GT3. Both have all wheel steering... So sexy... In other news... Here she is all washed up and ready for the 1st multi hour trip since being all apart...
  20. Ummm absolutely not.... All Wheel Steering is quite possibly one of the sickest things out there haha.... But on this is think it would be rather hard to accomplish....
  21. Looking sharp dude. Glad you decided to keep them. :)
  22. Thanks I think perfection is stretching it a bit haha. I want to go with 18 inch wheels and I for sure need some spacing help. Tint will be going on in a week or so. So yes its coming together.
  23. Can i borrow that roller?? Still trying to find someone that will load one..
