  1. I will use Maxxecu Race on my 850. I already set this up in different vehicles with good success.

AC control has been done using VEMS before, so it's possible. Haven't spent too much thought on that yet as my 850 currently doesn't have AC anyways. Basically you can monitor the pressure sensor and based on certain conditions activate the coupling of the compressor. I have a full workshop manual for the AC only, so I guess I will figure that out when the time comes.

What do you mean with emissions exactly?

The car has still a cat, closed loop wideband lambda control etc. So it will easily pass an emissions test.

Seems there is a lot of fuelling maps to consider even when going to slightly bigger injectors. Starting to think an aftermarket ecu would be a better option?

Depends on the use case, but in my opinion an aftermarket ECU is a good alternative. I am going this route now and I like the 100% control you get over the engine. No maps you don't know or understand etc. Definitely has its advantages. But then again, M4.4 is also great.

Umm, we will need posts sir, or better yet, a build thread..

I already have one for the 7064 somewhere here under showroom.

I can make a new one once I start on the 7670. Right now, the car is waiting for the body shop slot in January. Needs some rust removal and conservation. And engine bay paint ;)

We also went for a ride in Steve’s S70 T5M. It’s RN-swapped with an EFR 7064 and holy stuff, fast doesn’t cover it....his car is a monster!

One of the best turbos for this application. Love mine, but am upgrading to EFR 7670 and a custom spaghettifold.

    Hi,

I converted my 96 850 t5 from FWD to AWD last summer and instead of fitting the m58 gearbox I fitted a m66 from a diesel  xc70 with a s60r diff.

My question is can the speed limit be increased from 158 mph in the bin file ? I've tried to increase the speed in tunerpro but it won't go any higher than 158 mph. I'm able to go way above this 4th gear.

    Thanks.

Did you set both hard and soft limit to 255?

How does your haldex work in the 850?

  6. I have both mods that are available. And of course it needs to be taken account for in the bin. This is why I follow the 2 step approach with getting the logging correct in the first place. Too bad the scaling can't be changed in the AEM controller directly.

So far, this controller performs very nicely with fast response and overall just seems like a good product.

  7. Hi,

I installed a AEM X-Series Wideband Gauge with LSU 4.9.

Not sure how to calculate the conversion formula for Tunerpro Logging. Never had to do it as I could adjust the scaling on the previous lambda controllers to suit what the formula was based on.

Could someone help me on that?

See attached the data from AEM.

I am using the tank pressure input.
