  1. yo Matt!! long time buddy .. nice work here, nice to see some more useful content appearing. what did ya use to hang the motor? I've been looking at maybe getting the harbor freight style support beam for when I eventually do the steering rack in my xc90 .. I have a hoist kicking around but I feel the legs/feet will just get in the way when I'm working under the vehicle ... is that your home garage or are you still using the shop? -Perry
  2. You can try adding an aftermarket check valve at the fuel filter as an alternative to the bear of a pump replacement job, some have had good luck with that, there are some threads out there about it .. And probably just pull the prop shaft for now, then inspect front and carrier bearings and go from there...
  3. I do, it's out of the car but still bolted to the engine/trans out in my garage so I'll have to remove to get a good pic of the splines.. was working fine though
  4. I have some angle gears from 00 XC and one from 99 XC, they are different.
  5. the wiring won't be there, would need a different harness or to run new wires from the ecu box probably, no telling what kind of splicing would be involved ...
  6. accessories and turbo were attached as well ... much easier with a board to slide it up/down on .. good luck with the swap, I'm sure you'll make short work of it!
  7. I picked one up one time and hoisted it into my wagon with the guy I bought it from .. with our bare hands. . was surprised that was doable but he was pretty confident about it so I went for it.. lol
