  1. i always respond to the PMs asking for unarchiving. feel free to PM me if you need anything further.
  2. ROFL. I'd love to pick up an RS3 in the next few years.
  3. That's gorgeous. Looks perfect with the e-code turns. Miles?
  4. The pics are still there. I don't have the time to rehost them. You can get around the photobucket block by installing a plugin on chrome. I use this one: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-hotlink-fix/kegnjbncdcliihbemealioapbifiaedg?hl=en Alternatively, you can view the entire album of dash repair pics here: http://s104.photobucket.com/user/iamawass/library/Dash Repair
  5. I am not a fan of the 034 insert. It eliminated wheel hop and smoothed shifting, but transferred too much vibration to the cabin, so i took it out. This is on my 14 GLI with DSG, so take it with a grain of salt. Agreed on the JB4 - love mine.
  6. haven't done much to the yellow other than drive it occasionally. on the vw, i had the roof and window trim wrapped in black vinyl
  7. Nebulas come in 18" only. If those wheels are 17" then they are replicas.
  8. Depends on what type of case we're talking about. In a civil case, the short answer is probably not. If a driver is texting and causes an accident, it's hard to imagine there would be any dispute as to liability. So, if a case like that ever went to trial, the attorney for the driver would admit that the driver was responsible, and the video would probably not come into evidence. The idea is that the video is largely irrelevant because the driver already admitted fault, and to show it would be unfairly prejudicial to the driver because the jury would likely use it against the driver in awarding damages to the injured person. As a plaintiff's attorney, I would try my best to get it into evidence, arguing that it's relevant to show the severity of the collision, injuries, etc., but it probably would not be admitted into evidence. On the other hand, in a criminal case, it is much more likely to come into evidence.
  9. Just front. If you get hit from behind, it's generally considered to be the other person's fault. Plus, you have the front camera recording, so if you are at a stop and someone bumps you from behind, you'll have the footage to show that you were not backing up or something like that.
  10. Nice! I just put a Rexing V1 in my DD. Everyone who drives should get one of these.
  11. It actually went pretty smoothly. Initially, the car wouldn't start - turned out there was an issue with the manual ECU I bought from ARD (surprise surprise). But I was able to start and drive it using the auto ECU until the manual ECU got fixed. We may have had to tighten one or two coolant hoses. But other than that, the car shifted and drove fine.
  12. The M56L is in 1993, 1994, and early 1995 850s. After that, they used the M56H. All had external slaves. I did my swap over a weekend with help from a friend. We didn't take many breaks. :)
  13. They fucked up all of the writeups i posted on VS and other forums. I am pissed. It's going to take a long time for me to move everything over to flickr.
  14. It's made by New South Performance. I got it because it matches the stock gauges perfectly. http://www.newsouthperformance.com/shop/gauges/vw-white-30-inhg-30-psi-boost-gauge/
  15. Installed a boost gauge and tune in my GLI. And washed the T5R.
  16. Inside joke. Many years ago I had the company that picked up this wagon, Rob's Towing, paint an R bumper for my yellow car. Josh had recommended the shop to me, and the office manager was this burly lady named Adourna. The shop ended up having to repaint the bumper a total of 3 times because each time the job wasn't done right. When I picked it up the first time, the bumper had cracks in the paint, so they repainted it a second time. Then, the paint started cracking like two weeks after I installed the bumper. So they repainted it a third time. A few months after that....you guessed it, the paint cracked again. I gave up at that point.
