What do you guys think the problem could be? Bad alternator, fuel pump, what?
This only happens when the car has been driven for a while...On a warm engine turn over my car will either seem like it wants to shut off and then rise back up to normal idle speed or just flat out die. The other day at a gas station, after filling the car up, it would not turn over for it's life for about 45 minutes. I put the car in neutral, rolled it into a parking spot, tried to start it one last time, and bam, started like nothing was wrong.
Today, pretty much the same thing happened, I went inside a Eckerd to get a drink, come back outside try to crank her up, and I get nothing...I sit around, try to start the car...nothing. This time I must've waited about an hour. After trying time after time, I pushed the car backwards in neutral, tried to start it, got nothing. Pushed it forward in neutral, tried to start it, got nothing. Pushed it even further forward down a slight incline, and the car turned over like new. WHAT is going on? This is getting to be a big pain in the jerk...

Does the starter spin or it's the engine that doesn't start? If the starter is not spinning at all and you probably have all lights inside dimming - that's battery bad connections. If the engine spins but doesn't start - fuel or ignition related.

Rich suggested leaking injectors to someone a while ago.
I assume you've checked codes and come up with nothing?

yeah, i'd check those codes...but i suspect a fuel pump..maybe you got a defective one....when you're on an incline, the gas may be getting to the pump and letting the car start somehow...when not on an incline, it may take a bang on the gas tank while someone cranks the ignition....happened to my car, and to get it to the indy, i had someone bang the gas tank with a jack hammer (carefully) while i cranked it, and it started with about two bangs...see if that works to get you somewhere temporarily...if the banging works, then it's the fuel pump

i had the same problem with my one of my 240 wag's...very odd problem. But as allways start inspecting basic things first (after pulling codes)

Yeah, fuel pump is starting to be a big guess here...But I just figured hot or cold the car would have trouble starting, but it's always when the car is hot. How would I check for leaking injectors? I'm not a big car buff, or too mechanically inclined without directions...

Along the lines of it only happens when it's hot.
Cap and rotor, look at those for maybe a hair line crack, check for arking, and carbon fouling.
Next time it happens if you have two people, pull the coil wire off the distributor and have someone crank it while you hold it very close to a ground, the strut bolts are right there and work well, this is to ensure you have spark.

I will need to know where to look at for the cap and rotor, and also the distributor...It happened again and I could not get a start for a good 2 hours, and at random it finally turned over after tons of tries resulting in nothing.
It's really making me SICK to my stomach to deal with, so if anyone can be so gracious as to give me some nice instructions I'd be so thankful. I tried hitting the fuel pump...Didn't do anything. I doubt it's the fuel pump even though I started to smell a bit of gas after the first hour or so of trying to start it.

The distributor cap is the thing to the right of the engine with the 5 spark plug wires coming out of it. In the centre is the wire from the ignition coil (the one Rich said to disconnect and check for spark). The other five wires take the charge to the spark plugs.
If you take your distributor cap off, the rotor is underneath.

Ahh the pain in the jerk this car is.
I did notice the distributor cap looks pretty grimey and filthy when I was lookin' under the hood today. Hopefully ya'll have lead me in the right direction

On a similar note regarding possible distributor cap, rotor, or wire issues, try popping the hood with the engine running at night. If you see a bunch of tiny blue arcing sparks along the valvetrain (cover removed) or around the distributor cap you know you have some tired components in need of renewing. If this is the case it would also be wise to replace the plugs.

or better yet take a spritzer bottle of water and spritz over the entire engine and see if you see sparks that way... works real well and if things are tip-top you'll see nothing

What was the final outcome?
Holy bumpage.
The final outcome was that he ended up breaking the flywheel on this car somehow and bought a T-5R to replace it. Could be PNP switch also since the changing the gears thing around thing seemed to help at times.
