This thread is getting so long its funny.
So I thought Id thro in my 2 cents worth.
I am sure you are both making quality products for the money but there is more to consider all the way around for both of you.
OK here we go.
I got in touch with Odell back on 6/20/04 about the down pipes he was talking about I had money and I wanted to buy. He said he would have it in a few weeks, I contacted him again on 7/12 another story, again on 8/17 more story, then again on 9/6 still not ready for me yet.
Ok I went to a Dyno day at ATP on 9/18 and purchase some SS mandrel bends and a flex joint (around $100 in parts) and had it welded up locally for $40 I am very happy with it.
Now I am sure that the welds and finish on the VMS one are much smother and superior to mine. And odells probably has a better fit and finish as well but I am happy with being involved with my down pipe from start to finish I even took the dremel and smoothed out the welds on the inside of the pipe near the flange.
Oh and then Odell contacts me on 10/9 saying he has one he can sell me.
