Should I go for vac/boost, or just a plain boost gauge from Autometer?

Yeah, true. Ok so since I have a 99 S70 awd, does anyone know what the vaccum should be normal at? It goes from 30 vac, to 30 boost, the gauge that is, that is what it reads.

I get about 19-20 vac at idle in my T-5. I dont know if thats normal or not but my car runs great in my opinion.

Ok so i think I found the Autometer gauge I would like to buy.

30In Hg/30PSI 2 1/16 BOOST List Price:$75.55 Our Price: $46.90
Part No: ATM-5703 Notes: Mechanical. Includes 6 ft. nylon tubing and 1/8" & 1/4" NPT fittings.

I am going to buy the IPD pod for this since it is 2 1/16" pod and gauge is the same size. Now for the gauge all the stuff it says it comes with, is that all I need to install it? Or do I need more wires, etc?

Also is it easy to install, is it DIY? Or should I have someone do it for me?

Thanks. I honestly think this is too hard of a job for me to do. I am going to check and see how much a shop would charge to do it.

vtuning, I have faith in you! You can do it trust me, you just need to get under the hood and give it a look, it is easier to determine if you are looking at it in real life. trust me you gotta try it, a shop is going to charge money, which could be used for buying more things for your car.

Sweet! I love Autometers stuff (except for thier lack of a A-pillar pod for Volvo's) The little "bulb "condoms" make it easy to change the lighting too.
Be sure to post pics. biggrin.gif

Nice the gauge should be at my house by the 13th of October, that is quick shipping I must say.

Question how long do you think it will take for the IPD pod to ship? All the way out to PA that is? How long was anyone else's shippment taking on the pod?

I dunno if this sounds like a good price or not. But if for some reason I cannot install the gauge myself with the help from a friend.

Is $50-$75 reasonable price to have it installed?
