Do not quote me on this, but I think Alpine CD Changers work with our systems, but I am not sure like I said. So make sure someone else confirms this.

m-bus cd changers work. ai-net cd changers would require adapters. alpine model numbers with chm is m-bus, cha is ai-net.

right on Steve...if you want an aftermarket CD changer, then you can only go with Alpine, and most will require the VolAlp adaptor by PIE.

Is it true that only a certain model and year stock stereo works with the Alpine CD changer or all works with the changer??

it needs to be cd ready...
as far as i know, all sc710, sc811, and sc816 are cd ready.. they have the six buttons on the bottom for selecting between the discs in a 6-disc cd changer.. and they should have a button somewhere that says "cd"

i know that 96+ radio's need to have a special adapter cable for the changer to descramble the codes

but there are tons of them on ebay dirt cheap
