post a picture of the hood on the car you want done and i could tell you whether that would be a problem.

solution if this would be a problem: rubber stopper or (like you said) remove the springs?

was this a comon problem with the hoods? from what your saying i am guessing the purpose of these spring was to stop the hood from slamming on the car.

regardless you can rest assured that we will test the structure of the hoods before mass fabrication.

no the hood spring are in the hinge of the hood so that once you pop the hood on these cars they open themselves and stay open (no hood prop) the springs are easy to remove though

also the above hood and this hood should have some interest on here

depending on price i might throw down for a hood although i would paint most of it ph34r.gif

edit god i miss my car that reflection is so good must have just waxed it then

in this particular case i would say remove the springs and use gas shocks. if you want to keep the hood open, fabricating the hood should not be a problem. probably have to use the oem hinges, i would encurage it because carbon should not be used for a moving part. it is not weak but not ment to go under large amounts of stress. this hood, that the other company made, did it have a metal screw bracket where the hood attaches to the hinge and hood release? or did it just scew in the carbon hood?
