I have a 850 turbo and was thinking about adding a MSD 6. How hard is this? Would I need the TAC adaptor? Does it help the car run better?

Not for me it didn't. Ran rough, misfired. I then tried the Jacobs Pro Street kit which was a lot better but I still got "blow out" at heavy boost. The bottom line for me is that they are not needed at all for boost levels up to 17 psi. That's as far as I got.

i know "Dana" had great luck with the 6A. He hasn't been arround in a while, maybe other people with ignitions will chime in (even though Ignitions in general have been covered alot) try searching

try gapping your plugs down if your having blowout.
My 7al-2 + Jacobs ultra coil lights off mixtures that my 6al would laugh at the the stock ignition would cry over.

I installed one on the car a while back. It was so simple that I thought that I installed it wrong.

Whats the difference between only getting the msd coil and getting the entire 6a box?

Ah I see, but for a stage 0 replacement of the oem coil, can I use the msd one?

I installed an MSD 6A and the difference really isnt TOO noticeable.
I saw a small increase in MPG... the stock ignition is pretty darn good on its own. Save 150 and save the 60 for the coil, and keep with the stock ignition/coil
spend it somewhere else more worth your while, unless you just got cash laying around and dont know what to do with it, then you can give some to me... cuz i need a downpipe and cat

What would high boost be considered?
