Ok here's the skinny. Bought an aftermarket HU when I had my 93 850. Installed it, worked fine. After she was totaled, I installed the system in my 96R. No problems. Now, I went to put it in the T5-R and hooked it up the same way as the 96R. It's the same wiring. Well, I get no audio. The HU powers up, shows that it's getting input (the gauge moves back and forth to the beat, I hope you know what I mean by this) but I get no audio what so ever. Any ideas???

Possibly your speakers are powered out of the volvo amp and you are arent sending a signal there?

I hear where you're coming from but I followed the same process as I did on my 96R (both cars have the premium sound system in them with the amp wiring). Thats why I'm scratching my head right now puzzled beyond belief.
