The guage cluster, center channel speaker, and seats are the only internal differences that I have ever noticed.   Oh and the door panels.   Any one know of any others?

Okay, so after a whole lot of pictorial diversions, we've digressed off the subject as to wether or not i should chip said S70R? I've also been looking at suspension kits? What should i go for?

I think everyone has chimed in. You SHOULD chip it, unless your planning on going with a standalone engine management anytime soon. The chip is safe for your engine as long as the chipmaker knows what octane gas you will be running. Most chip programs accomplish just about the same thing, so choose the chipmaker that best suits your taste. RICA is tops tho. Same with exhaust systems. The high price ones and a fabricated low price one will accomplish the same thing as long as both are done well. I would say do both around the same time to get the best results. wow. you should be in the 13's in no time if you have a lsd 5 speed. Good luck.

oh! unless your question was chip OR suspension. Id say do your suspension up. unless youre thinking about dyno #'s, the better suspension will allow you to use what horsepower you have more effectively. chip it later

Sorry to re-visit this again... I have decided not to do any suspension or hardware work on the car. The only thing i'm considering at the moment is a chip, and even then, i'm scheptical. Does anyone have comparitave dyno charts of Standard EMS VS Chipped on a Turbo Volvo, preferably an 'R'.

I know power gains could be up, but i'm more interested in smooth response. I've seen some horrible dyno charts, where the power is massive and awsome in figures, but un-usable, 'cause it's in one massive spike at the end of the rev-range. Fine for a track car i guess, but mine's an every-day cruiser.
