So why a T3/T04E as opposed to a T3/T04B?
Actually, what's the difference between the two?

don't want to go off topic, but yes in the future I will be doing a rod upgrade as I feel that is all these motors NEED, however for now I feel the stock block could take 13 PSI from a t3/t04e

There is no point on just replacing the connecting rods. If you have the motor apart and are going to replace the rods then why not do pistons. Rotating mass has alot to do with life of a high performance engine and heavy pistons on lightweight rods just doesnt make sense to me. But if your buget only allows rods then i say go for it.

nobody knows how much the block will hold with just rods, maybe 400 ?
with piston and rods, then around 500

there are people with just rods that are making over 400. That's fine for me
Remember what you need to make 400, and how traction and the tranny will hold up, at that level the autotragic will be the most of our worries lol
Anyways... Chris, that's an awesome turbo you posted up, if that's still up in 3 weeks things are going to get very very very interesting
That's the exact turbo I want right now!!! gah! If only it were Ball Bearing, o well! at least it's internally gated...
anyone ever hear of "XS Turbo"?

They make a Chinese-manufactured knock-off of the TurboXS Type H...
My roommate just got it off E-bay for like $60 new.
I'd be kind of wary

Trust me, that company has been putting up those turbos for the past 6 months, because everytime I type T3/T4, they have like 3 for sale, so don't worry, it will be up !

yea... I e-mailed the seller and the last 2 people to have bought that turbo from him.
got this in reply from the seller:
"it really is a turbonectics turbo even the turbine housing has the T on it for turbonectics but the company that makes there turbos just changed up the name on the compressor housing for legal issues"
also from another purchaser that I e-mailed:
"Hi, it seems fine. Seems to be made from quality parts, it had an turbonetics turbine housing for example. I'm only using the 10lb wastegate so I don't know how long it will last with more boost. Would be best to ask if it has a 360 degree thrust bearing fitted if you plan on using a lot of boost. At the price I got it for I can't really argue with it and the chap seems fine to deal with. Stef"
soooo, so far so good

odell how much for your turbo? downpipe?
I might drive a 40 year old mans car but that means I can keep on tuning it for 18 more years before I need a new one!
