I am strongly considering this setup, and I was wondering what you guys think.

B&G springs $202.00 shipped (shox)
Sachs/Boge OEM $270.00 shipped (FCP Groton)
IPD Sway Bars $325.00 shipping? (IPD)

Basically this setup would cost me less than $725.00

The only other option I am considering is H&R's with Bilstein HD's for about $700...(Shox)

My budget is around $700

Thanks a ton, I really appreciate this site and your input!

Do it...EXCEPT: Don't get teh Sachs/Boge, get teh Bilstein TC's, much better and often cheaper. I know you said ONLY other option but I'm saying what I've found from experience, since I feel you should reconsider.

if this is your first suspension work be prepared to replace the mounts/spring seats. So add another 300ish...

I like it, but don't get OEM. Get the Bilstein's. Your getting other performance suspension upgrades, so get performance shocks/struts too.

I can't seem to find the Bilstein TC's as cheap as OEM? I need to stay under budget. What do you think? Thanks!

would the B&G springs cause the Bilstein TC's to wear out quicker [as compared to Bilstein HDs or Koni's]

Actually, they aren't backordered now. I got mine about 2 weeks ago. They made a nice difference. Front end really feels connected now and the rear doesn't just feel like it's just following. I had no rear bar before. blink.gif

If you have front/rear bars stock then I'd wait on upgrading the sways. Spend the $ on bilsteins instead. You won't be sorry. One upgrade is not fully dependant on the other and you won't really save money (or time/effort if you're DIYing) by having the sways installed with the sptruts/springs.

Thanks for all the info. This is a really subjective issue. I wish we had some sort of test numbers or even spring rates. .

the price is fair, but if you're going to replace shocks/struts, go with Bilsteins...that what I'll be doing in January after I get back from vacation....oh, mounts, spring seats, sways are a must.

also, check these out...don't know their rep, but they can't be too bad

Mike, shouldn't make much of a difference in wear. The ride wont be as sporty with the TCs as say with the Konis or the HDs though.
