Nahh, as long as don't gut or remove the cat you *should* be fine. I don't think they'd bust ya for getting a 2.5" or 3" catback.

Yeah, I'm in Cali, and I will be due for smog in January. I am buying all my piping and parts right now, and I think I'll try my best to put the exhaust in before my smog, so I can immediately tell if it will pass or not. The other option would be to wait until after the inspection, and then install the exhaust, but who likes waiting? I know someone who will "pass" me as long as I have no CEL lights on. Shoot, my car is California's worst enemy anyway, it barely passes each time I have smogged it, trust me, I have the results right here in front of me...all the levels just barely get by, and that's only because the guy is cool, and removes the detector on and off to get the levels lower! If I pass, or the guy "passes" me, then I'll give you guys his info, and we can hook him up with some business!

Say what?... Rear O2 goes after the cat. (In the middle? What craziness is this?)

well, here is the only CA compliant high flow cat out right now...look at the prices...OMG....I have to make sure I have hook ups on my smog here so I can just get a regular universal OBDII cat instead of the CA compliant OBDII cat...the regular universal costs less than $100, and this CA one costs over $200...how ridiculous....
