Well after listening and talking to you guy's I finally put est springs and bilstien tc shocks on my 97 850. I am glad I didn't go with HD this ride is perfect for me stiffness of suspesion has definetly been improved and the car seems to want go around corners faster. The older shock were toast they didn't even rebound oil everywhere well it was my wifes car and know it's mine so things will change. It took me about 5 hours and probably shorter but I couldn't not figure how to get the last wing nut off the strut but Igot on the net and pipe wrench is the tool thanks for eveything .Next exhaust, chip, moda r6, perrelli m&s

Black 1997 850 Glt . Upsolute chip 14psi 16T 3" downpipe 2.5'' exhaust magnaflow .Quickbrick end links. K&N. Est springs . Bilstien TC shocks . Ipd rear sway bar. Samco/HoseTechniques Hoses . 215/45/17 Perelli P Zero . Nero ms . 17" Sport Edition wheels. Most important Covercraft weathershield car cover

Hey...I'm about to do the same thing! Nice!

How many miles did you car have before you replaced the struts/shocks and springs?

I am not really sure we purchased it with 50000 miles they were shot I am glad I didn't go with HD if you get a chance ride in a car with HD and let me know. This ride here is still stiff and in corners you can feel the springs work and for me it works out perfect

Haha I got 105k, Stock Suspension as well. I was gonna get Blistens HD with Eibach but the Exhuast was more tempting. Next upgrade will be DownPipe 3" then Suspension for sure!! Gonna cost alot of $$ though. (I firgure $650 for the package then another $100 for the Strut/springs Mounts) biggrin.gif

If I understand correctly...you haven't tried HD but your glad you didn't go with them? Or have you tried them and prefer the ride with the TC's? I have EST springs as well but with HD's, I love the ride, it is stiff but seems softer than my stock setup which was finished (130 000 km). Maybe not softer but smoother and I feel safe driving once again. I glad you happy with you setup!

i'm not a big fan of a lot of aftermarket rims...they don't look quite right. moda r6 looks ok...i think one of our members has a set...

personally...if i were u...i'd get a set of pegasus (assume u'r after 17" right?) which are ridiculously cheap now and throw in the 250 rebate from volvo...ur looking at around 600-700 for a set of oem rims...

Woah, how are you getting 600-700 for pegs? You can get them from vmsperformance for $214 each (18") Or you can get them from a dealer for like $270 each, plus the $200 rebate from Volvo. Are you saying that you can get the rebate from Volvo even if you don't buy your wheels from a dealer?

I CHOSE TO GO WITH KW COIL KIT, VERY EXPENSIVE BUT THEY ARE
GRRRREAT. THE CAR DROP ABOUT 1 1/2 INCHES, NOTICEABLE AND VERY STURDY.

Yes but you must also consider that you can get a set of Konis, H&Rs, an OMP brace and IPD sways basically replacing the major components of the suspension for about 2/3 of the price of KWs. Who cares if you get the extra inch and a half. I might look nice but IMO, you're going to get a better deal out of replacing all of the stock things esp. if you have a higher mileage 850.
