K...after to speaking to terry at VMS...i went ahead an ordered a bored TB and a ported and polished intake manifold....great guy to talk to about any Volvo related questions...i recommend him highly...plus it was less than I thot!!!!

ya...its only $$$$....sides Im on the alternative payment plan...Terry said hes werking like a slave on rob's motor....so, someones gotta keep the women folk happy, rite?!

Jesse, did you send your TB to SPG9 to upgrede? How much did they charge you?

Lax, the two mate easily and there was no adaptation required for me when i did it. of course oyu want to port out the intake to match the throttle body diameter (have it done by a pro with a flow bench) and away you go.

Grow up. i was not talking about you and the point was that it is a useless mod unless done right. the poeple who buy things and add them to their cars without knowing what they are doing are dumb, plain and simple, its like adding a resinator tip and claiming increased hp, or for that matter adding a resinator tip at all. If you want the blind to lead the blind, then have fun, but i'm simpling l;aying down the facts, if you want the raw data to back it up then get someone to add an articles section, and i will give you all the evidence you need on flow velocity, for that matter i'll be happy to write articles on a great many topics as well, exhaust, air fuel ratio, advanced ignition timing, whatever, so if oyu like suggest it to an admin. or whoever can add that and i'll preach the good word, otherwise let it go dude. I'm not attacking you as you got the tb and a ported intake, so you're not dumb!

then just make ur "points" in a more constructive manner...its not too much to ask...like i sed b4....there are some people that choose to do mods...fer wot eva reason...in a certain order...please just respect that....ur opinion, and all opinions, are valuable to all of us...

Brett, my knowledge of this type of automobile is not all emcompassing,
It is however fairly comprehensive, so when i am directing comments at noone in
particular, it isonly for the good of the group, i want everyone to be able to enjoy a
speedy well performing Volvo as i do, but in a way that is cost effective and functional
that's why i post, for the benefit of others, i obviously already know the stuff i post
if i wanted to be an a$$ i would just sit by and let people do silly things to their cars
so as with all learned posters i am only trying to help for thelove of Volvo
