Ok so I decided to cut the fenders instead of rolling them. Based on the people who recommended I roll them I knew I should cut them. Actually I just wanted to retain my liners tongue.gif

Thats how much material had to be removed. 15 mm wide and about 17 inches long. Very thick steal, so plan on using nips or a grinder. A dremel or hand snips would take all day.

From below showing the two rivits and the liner still in place

I should not have to say this, but if you do not have metal experience you should not attempt this.

Nice job! What spacers did you use? The H&R ones, if so, what do you think about them?

Yes H&R. And I d not like spacers so needless to say I am not a big fan. I used the 15mm ones but I think 5mm may have cleared my BBS rims but not my centerlines.

I just wanna make sure I have what you did straight... rather than rolling the rear fenders for wheel clearance, you just cut the metal that would have overlapped with the wheel (and left some extra space)?

What do you think about just rolling and attempting to stretch them out? Which do you think will get you more clearance?

Cutting will get you the most room. Ans yes instead of rolling them I cut them. When you roll fenders you usually give up the liners which I did not want to do.

I know that volflo rolled his and managed to fit 245s and keep his liners. I think you can roll it and not only roll the lip but also stretch the fenders out some, I'll see....

245 is easy. I am sitting on 225s with 38 offset 15mm of spacer and I still have 10mm of room before the fender. Removing the spacer alone would lem me run a 235 or actually a 240. Plus the offset could be 43ish allowing a 245. Now if I wanted to burn up all my wiggle room I could go to 255. But thats the point.... Its FWD and plows enough as it is.

Actually....As I think about it my biggest concern is the front not the rear. I think I need some more camber first but right now with 205's they rub on the edge of the well.....

what? What offset? I have 15mm of spacer in the front and with 215s was fine. When I went to 225s though I had to trip a little.

Its like 38 I think, 205/45R17
I'm almost rubbing on the strut tube also which is just nuts....and in the rear I'm rubbing on the inside fender liner...

Used to have too much camber, now its as negative as it will go (I don't have a camber kit or anything) but it seems about right, somewhere between 0 and -.5*. Something on spacing seems really funny. Mind you my car is really low but somethign still doesnt seem right....

No. Nor does 15mm. If your rubbing that much something is screwed up. I run 0 camber and have 0 rubbing. 38 offset also with a much larger tire, and also lowered. Something is messed up
