So, can you put a BOV on a MAF-governed car?

Because, my wife's cousin's best friend's mechanic told me it'll run rich.

He also told me some guy called Doug will tell you otherwise, but not to listen to him, because he likes sheep.

Anybody know? huh.gif

I've been wondering the same thing.... I've been told that by putting a BOV on my R, once it's chipped, it'll be better for the turbo 'cause of some back-pressure thing ... I'm no mechanic, as you may have noticed.

Yea, with a vented blow off valve, your car will run a little bit rich because the ECU would account for the air vented back into the intake. You'll probably notice your fuel mileage down in local driving, but freeway driving should be about the same. The BOV does help with the life of the turbo.

A question I have is, I know the SRT4's block off plate would fit our cars (850), how about the aftermarket blow off valve for the SRT4???

after testing those Mopar plates are showing leaking past 15 PSI the gasket on them sucks... not to mention they blow off way too loudly in vacuum, they get really really really annoying

I've always had a good experience with the HKS SSQV....so I'll probably stick with that, though I've been meaning to try out the Blitz DD.....hmmm....

Haha, Geoff, where did you find that? That looks pretty interesting. Are you going to put one on?
