It would tho, be easier to put the sender in one of the new hoses for the b&m as the original top atf hose remains in tack and you dont really want to cut into that.

The Gauge prolly doesn't come with a sender... Get the same Ultra-Lite gauge.. the best style Autometer makes IMO... The sender will need to go in the spot where the ATF will be the hottest.. which in my mind would be right before it goes INTO the cooler... Splicing into the hosing isn't going to be that hard... There's no big PSI in the Tranny...

Autometer makes one... its on this page somewhere... Autometer Just make a T fitting with the probe in line so it comes in contact with the ATF.

also, while we are on the topic of gauges, has anyone done an A/F gauge? Do our O^2 sensors hook up with that?
thanks 98S70R, I'm going to start looking into the gauges

No problem... call me Kevin.
You don't need to drill into the pan... (I did that on my truck tho, took the PTO cover off the manual tranny, and drilled a hole then heli-arced the fitting into the PTO cover.. worked great.. ) What I would do is take the line from the AT to the cooler, cut it. Put some barbed fittings w/male NPT in the ends of the tubing (seal them with hose clamps, then take a T fitting (made of stainless or bronze) hook the two ends of tubing to that, then take the temp sender into the other end of the T. Voila. HTH...
