Alrighty, tapping into the vacuum tree seemed to do the trick, it's now working properly. And I replaced the hose that the guy hacked up. I never realized how big of a oh yeah! it is to get those clamps and hoses off.
Anyhow, I still have the quivering at full boost, although it's showing 0.7 Bar.. is that due to a leak somewhere?

I would suggest replacing all of your vaccum lines and either get samco turbo hoses or ensure that every single one of your hoses is in perfect condition, there are 5 of them to inspect. Also sometimes simply loosening and tightening the hose clamps may do the trick, I actually gained 2 psi by doing that.

yeah, the lines look a little old, and the quivering could be because you haven't replaced the line that the mechanic "hacked up"...get a new hose from the BCS to the wastegate actuator....splits in that can cause the weird gauging.
