Engine Blown, New Engine Swap

Concerning the Turbo - Should I completely replace the turbo with a 16T or just go to a ball-bearing model from someone else? (I know this will require a new downpipe.) OR should I just upgrade the impeller?
- What will fit and what work will be required.
Feel free to add your comments on what I should do (ie, Wires, injectors, etc.)
Thanks - Nat

do u have an angled down pipe now w/ ur setup? i think u have a 15g rite? i thnk they are pretty much the same...imho....so dont throw money away on a new down pipe...just upgrade ur 15g while the car is down? maybe? oh and get a boost gauge....and just say "no" to hot women w/ std's?

built internals = better turbo (gt, etc...)
stock internals = stock turbo (16t, 15g, 19t)
its all about the money you wanna spend.

I don't have a bent downpipe... so you say upgrade stock turbo
--Thing is I want to get a downpipe anyways...
When it comes to internals... I am not so sure, the stuff is expensive!
--I know turbos are expensive, but not in relation
-----The one thing my brother and I have discussed is taking apart the engine and port/polishing the intake mani, and perhaps a cam grind.
Thanks guys
Brett, hot girls with std's are easy to say "no" to, it's the ones with kids that I have trouble stayin' away from!

It might be the best in-between choice if you don't want to go into the motor, which sounds like your preference.
It's so very expensive and it breaks the motor's Karma if you know what I mean.

Right now we are working on getting the current engine out and cleaning up the new engine...
