I just purchased an S80 that has the HU-611 audio system. I am wondering if there is enough bass in this setup and if it would be easy to add a box in the rear? I.e. preferably without adding an amp (not likely).

Not many S80 owners here so I havenīt found much info on S80 audio. Any information would be good. Just worried that the stock setup wonīt provide enough bass.

Yeh, Turbobricks is more 200 / 700 series, we're predominatly 800 series and swedespeed is primarily the newer stuff. And no, I doubt you'll ever run a sub w/o an amp off of the stock hu.

Thanks for the replies,

Too bad, as I prefer this website over the others. I didnīt explain myself properly, subs with built in amps are viable too, just not placing a speperate amp etc as I want to have a french zipper under it and a single plug so I can remove it when I need the trunk space.

^Oops... yeah. Well, technically the 70 series is a continum of the 800 series.

Well what bing has said has come out as this towards combinations. Its much cheaper to get a box and an amp (plus you'll get more power) for when you want to have a removable sub. Just have some of those pill shaped connectors on all of your connections and use your French zipper (hehe) to hold it down. You will spend more but its always better to get what you want the first time and not fool around with mediocre things just to tide you over until you get the exact thing you want.

I think he means quick disconnects... the ones I've used are either light pink or light blue in color.

Yeah, they're the quick disconnects. Sorry about the confusion there.
