I'm gauge shopping in anticipation of the arrival of my 3-pod A-pillar, and I'm looking at Boost/ EGT/ WBO2. I've found gauges I like (Defi D-series), but I'm having trouble finding a sending unit for the A/F; Autometer has one (it's the only one I can find), but I don't know if it's WBO2 or NBO2. Having seen the Autometer gauge, I'm inclined to think it's NBO2. Anyone know for sure which it is, or where to get a WBO2 setup?

I run lots of Defi gauges but i would not choose there gauge to monitor airfuel, i would be a wideband 02 device to read with. There are lots to choose from but they can get Pricey

Care to elaborate Rob?

Point us towards a good WB02 sensor/AF gauge combo. I'm a diesel guy... gasoline is new to me... biggrin.gif

Yup. That's the only place to put it. biggrin.gif You wouldn't believe how many times we'd get into this argument with my bro's on the diesel page.

Well, I'm sure a TOT gauge might be useful for keeping an eye on the turbo, but honestly, for what I'm looking for/at, EGT seems like a better fit.

AEM makes a great wb02 sensor combo that comes with a bosch sensor and AEM digital gauge with an led needle the input is 0-5 volt variable and it comes with a bung. European car mag. just awarded it the select gear award, so check it out in this months issue.
I might drive a 40 year old mans car but that means I can keep on tuning it for 18 more years before I need a new one!

www.innovatemotorsports.com best deal around in wideband systems. I've been using mine for almost 2 years now, love it.

You can use the progamable output to drive ANY nb based AFR gauge (autometer, vdo, defi ect).

Innovate has a 52mm gauge coming out that will look similar to the AEM one.

Gotta pay to play. Sorry, narrowband AFR gauges are nothing more than a useless light show. Widebands are the only way to get accurate information. NOW, if your only running a chip and your happy at that, no intentions to go any further, I wouldn't bother.

if your playing with the big boys (big turbos, EMS, piggybacks or what not) widebands are not only CHEAP but the ONLY way to go.

Yea, that's why I'm still gonna pony up. Is it worth the extra $$ for the tach connection on the innovative motorsports one?

Not right now, just buy the 350 dollar setup. The gauge when it comes out too. The inductive inputs and stuff aren't really all that important for what most of us do.

Eh, I was just gonna hook it to the Defi gauge, since they have an output for that sort of thing, and I'd like my gauges to match. Honestly, is there any difference in the gauges (other than that the Defi is calibrated)?

If you spend the big bucks on that AEM gauge, can that be a replacement for a a/f reading on dyno runs?
