so i just got my new system installed and i couldnt be more pleased.. new boston acoustic tweeters (my favorites out of all of it), kenwood 6 1/2's in the doors, and 2 sony subs in the back. the only stock things that stayed were the amp (powers back doors & 6x9's) and the factory 6x9's.
my question is whether or not i should remove the 6x9's and let the subs vent through those holes. right now i just fold the center thing down and let them vent through there but that's kinda ghetto i think. anyone have opinions on this? thanks for the help and all i have to say is... invest in boston acoustic tweets!!

take em out, your trunk can act as a huge band pass if you have it peel and sealed properly

ah yes peal and seal.. soon to come i believe hehe shoudl sound very nice. i was driving down my street today and my sister sitting at home (over 2 blocks away) sent me a txt message with the name of the song i was playing... hehe
so that post i read the whole thing, it didnt specifically discuss the benefits/drawbacks of removing the 6x9's.. can we maybe use this post to discuss the specific benefits, etc?

Would anyone volunteer to explain the physics behind "your whole trunk can act as a giant bandpass with some peel and seal?" I am not sure I am quite clear on how this works, and I am curious (and a genius).
Thanks!
Thanks!

If you think you don't get enough bass, then take them out. Else, leave it there.
