I can guarantee you that the 302mm brakes will work with the Meteors. I put them on my car. The 302mm were stock on the 99+ R's. You can check the TME website. I can't remember the address, but they have details on their site about which Volvo wheels the 302mm rotors will and will not work with. Hope this helps.

TME front brake kit for 850 and some 70-series cars include larger (302 mm) brake discs, caliper carriers and brake pads. Steel braided brake hoses are ordered separately. Require 16" wheel size. 302 mm brakes will not fit the following Volvo original 16" wheels: Columba, Persus, Solar, Pleiad, Helium.
We can also supply a larger (320 mm) front brake kit on special order for 850, 70-series as well as for S60, V70N and S80. Require 17" wheel size. For 40-series we only have a steel braided brake hose kit.

To Install/On Order: Banks Intercooler, AirDogII DF-165, Fab Fours Rear Bumper, Diamond Eye Downpipe.

There it is, only notice there is very little clearance from the caliper to the wheel. I changed to 17" wheel.

The 320mm brake kit was very spendy and was still a 1-piston floating caliper.
The 98's and 99's had the same rear brakes. 295mm solid rotor with Girling floating caliper. Same caliper used on the front of some 240's and 740's. The 2000 R's had a ventilated rear disc. Same overall diameter as far as I know. I am still trying to find out if it was a different caliper for the 2000 R's.

$1200 for a 320mm brake upgrade, that does not seem to much to me, especially that it uses VOLVO OEM parts.
